Extra bed linen sets throughout week are $5 per set, or there are coin-op washer/dryers in Lodge for guest use.)
*Extra persons - $40 nightly, $200 weekly including children and babies***. Each cabin is rated for a certain number of people (based on septic & water resources, garbage & recycling removal, bed space, dock space, parking space, Dept. of Health regulations and many other considerations combined). Beyond that base rate person number, a limited number of extra persons may be allowed (see each cabin description) for $40 night/person, or $200 week (both off season & summer).
***Babies & children of all ages count within the "number of people" base rate. If they're human, they count! All of us generate usage of resources: i.e. diaper disposal costs, cooking/heating usage for formula or food, extra electricity by being inside cabin more for napping and protection from elements, crib and highchair usage provided by us at no extra cost, etc. etc. etc. Try to choose a cabin with the "# of people rate" that best fits the number of your family or group.
Day visitors: $12.00 per person for any guests visiting for more than 1 hour. We welcome visitors to tour the grounds and share a quick meal with you at your cabin. Just like a state or national parks, it takes energy, time and money to keep up docks, beach, grounds, trails, facilities and amenities, not to mention actual cabins. The day visitor fee pays for lake access: view, access and enjoyment. If they intend to spend the afternoon or a couple hours with you on a boat, at the beach or just hanging out on your cabin deck (flushing a toilet, enjoying the cabin, beach, play boats, dock access, playgrounds, other resources) a day pass is $12/person. We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors a guest here may invite onto the premises. In accordance with the Minnesota State Innkeepers Law, day visitors are required to register at the lodge for the security and safety of this lodging establishment.
CHECK-INS (all!) are any time after 3:00 p.m. (on summer Saturdays, we actually gate the entrance - so plan ahead!)
Check-Out time is any time before 12 noon.*
*Weekly stays guests can stay until 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. (WEEKLY RATES are 7 days/6 nights.) If your reservation is LESS THAN a weekly stay, you can opt for the Delayed Check-Out Pass if available via scheduling: $5/hour/person beyond the 12 noon check-out time.
GROUP RATES - in May or after Labor Day
RESERVATIONS
Reservation Deposits: For weekly stays are $500 per cabin, $1,000 for cabins #7, #9, #10, & #19, $50 per week per motorboat -- motorboats only guaranteed available with deposit paid. Reservation deposit checks are required within 7-10 days of reservation. A payment of deposit is considered acceptance of the following Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Policy: DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE upon cancellation for ANY REASON whatsoever (be it change of plans, financial budget errors, health issues, death in the family, etc.) UNLESS cabin is re-booked for entire length of stay reserved, whereupon deposit will be returned minus a $100 handling/cancellation fee (funds go into our advertising budget).
- If you cancel your reservation within three weeks prior to stay, you will be billed for full amount of cancelled booking whether you use the lodging or not.
- No refund or partial refund will be given for early departure.
- Since we accept reservation deposits a year in advance, if you cancel your reservation before October 31 of the prior year, your deposit will be refunded in it's entirety (unless it was paid via credit card; in which case, the deposit amount will be returned minus a 5% handling fee.)
- If you cancel your cabin reservation and another guest who has already reserved a cabin in that same week chooses to switch to your cabin, the cancellation terms still apply until the newly available cabin is re-booked.
We strongly recommend you consider all the ramifications of a possible cancellation before you commit to booking a cabin and paying a deposit. When you are ready to take responsibility for your reservation, go for it! To help you feel more secure about your reservation, you may wish to look into obtaining "trip insurance" . . .
Quick facts about trip insurance that may interest you:
- It can protect against unforeseen events that may cause you to cancel your travel plans
- It may reimburse nonrefundable pre-payments and/or deposits
- It may cover emergency medical expenses if you purchase a more comprehensive plan
- It may cover miscellaneous expenses caused by travel delays, such as transportation and lodging expenses or, if baggage is delayed, the purchase of essential items
- It can also protect against lost, stolen or damaged baggage
- It typically costs 5 to 7 percent of the trip cost
Crow Wing Crest Lodge does not endorse any trip insurance providers. However, here is a starting list of possibilities to start your search:
